Some sites will require registration; it is recommended for your child’s online safety that registration is done by the parent using the parent’s name.

 

Library and Reading Links

 

In December all classes will  learn about the Halifax Explosion of 1917.  The k-4 are read stories about the gift of a tree that the  people of Nova Scotia send to the city of Boston to thank them for their help during the weeks after the explosion.  The 5 & 6 students are introduced to a virtual reality experience of the explosion and other stories, pictures and videos.  Please see links below for further learning.

February is Black History Month.  We learned about Viola Desmond and the Underground Railroad.  Here are some links to clips that were shown in class to the older students and some links for further learning.
